Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Confirmed to have a day one Game Pass release

Following reports that the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 may have leaked only hours before the announcement, Microsoft has now confirmed that the game will launch on Xbox Game Pass on day one.

Senior editor at Verge Tom Warren said on Twitter/X that the Xbox Game Pass app unintentionally sent out warnings that linked to a dead page called "play-call-of-duty-black-ops-6-day-one-game-pass." The Xbox Game Pass app for iOS and Android is alerting users that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 "is coming to Game Pass on day one later this year," according to Warren's article.

Soon after the notification, a post on Xbox Wire confirmed the information and stated that the game will undoubtedly be released on the first day of Xbox Game Pass.

Although the announcement is hardly shocking—all of Microsoft's first-party games are usually released on the first day of Game Pass—it was noteworthy that the game was included now that it is part of the larger Microsoft portfolio following the acquisition.

Both live streams will be accessible in ASL with English audio descriptions on the Xbox ASL Twitch, as well as on YouTube, Facebook, and the Xbox Twitch feeds.
