Review of Astro Bot: Unadulterated happiness in a bottle for these gloomy times

From a gameplay perspective, Astro Bot is top notch. Mechanically it's super tight (if not as ripe for god-level mastery as some of the 3D Mario games), the levels are bathed in creativity, and it's a feast for the eyes and ears. It's brilliant.

Fallout: Factions – Nuka-World tabletop review

It's an impressive package containing two gangs, a pile of nice cardboard terrain, a paper gaming mat, bespoke dice, tokens, gang roster sheets, the rulebook, and even a Fallout-branded tape measure. This was my first experience with Modiphius's multi-part miniatures and on the whole I'm quite impressed with them.

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake review

“Cosmic Shake” plays smooth in comparison and is just a better game overall. “BFBBR” is still a classic, but Purple Lamp should have taken more time with it, as there's still some things that haven't been fixed. Buy both games because they're both great, even if “BFBBR” has some drawbacks.

OlliOlli World Review – What a wonderful world

In other words, this pixelated playground is a weirdly namaste take on the skateboarder – a virtual trickathon for the yoga bros and bliss-seeking baddies of TikTok. Fittingly then, OlliOlli World isn't a game about exploration or story but one built around achieving that hypnotic state of “flow”.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart Review: A window into the future

The primary point of interest wasn’t just the game’s very high bar of visual fidelity, but specifically what could be achieved by making the most of the console’s solid-state hard drive, allowing for the near-instantaneous loading of in-game assets, which translated to the ability to make additional complex environments appear on screen blink of an eye.

Biomutant Lacks An Identity To Call Its Own

Biomutant attempts to mimic so many elements from other games, it results in something that feels as if it was born during a focus group–one demanding for a superficial collection of popular videogame design trends with no care for how they fit together as an engaging experience. Ultimately, it lacks an identity to call its own.
